One of the rules I go by when at work is to always seek support when I need it. Sometimes we aim to be superhumans, even more when we have an audience to attend.
It has been a month since I started this blog, and I haven't missed a day without a post. Even if the quality has varied, there is not a single post I'm not proud of. I can't say this is being an easy standard to keep up with.
With a ton of ideas being suggested in our Discord, the problem of keeping up with this doesn't come from figuring out what to write, but I seriously think this blog could be so much than what it is if I got a bit of help with it. Now it is my time to ask for assistance.
If you are reading this, chances are you have something to say, and I want to hear it. I want to hear how people are willing to help other people. I'm tired of seeing "great" artists that are only capable of showing off and do nothing to help others become as great as them. Together we can end that!
There are thousands of artists out there who can do the job. I am looking for those that are able to show there's a human behind their screens, someone that is willing to help, to change their environment for the better, and understands the importance of growing a healthy community.
I need people's help to make this a richer, more helpful place, with other opinions, views, and experiences that aren't just my own.
Whether you want to promote your indie game by showing how you make it, getting a better online presence with a breakdown post, or are just interested in helping others with your advice, Game Art Blog welcomes you to participate with your content.
If you are interested in our offer and want to start sharing your thoughts, independently of your language and writing skills, the easiest way to do so is by joining our discord and writing me (Javier Benitez) a message.
I can't wait to hear your thoughts. And don't be shy, all it takes is a first step to start the journey!
